As The Fader gears up to release their 100th issue, we recently celebrated with The Fader and Vitamin Water for their #uncapped series. For The Fader’s 100th issue, they have Drake & Rihanna on the covers of their issue. NYC’s #uncapped series celebrated 5 years of #uncapped with 5 shows over the span of 5 nights. Each night featured different musical acts from all genres. The acts included, Sevyn Streeter, Alessia Cara, a DJ Set by Passion Pit, Kehlani, Thundecat, Towkio, Willow, Chance The Rapper, and and many more. We at Music & Other Drugs had the pleasure of attending this year’s #uncapped, and each day offered us something new for our ears. Fetty Wap was scheduled to perform on Thursday, but due to a recent accident, he had to cancel his performance, and singer Jojo took his headlining spot. She song her classic songs and performed her three new singles which she calls a “tringle.” A favorite of the week was Kehlani. The up and coming star has the vocals, the moves, and an impressive fan base to support the singer. She connected with the audience with her honest songs, and she even got personal and spoke directly to the crowd. Saturday night capped off the #uncapped series with Towkio, Willow Smith, and Chance The Rapper. Of all of the nights, Saturday’s show was high-energy and packed to capacity. Chance The Rapper ended the night with his live band, and high volume performance. Music & Other Drugs congratulates The Fader and Vitamin Water on five years of #uncapped and are looking forward to this year’s Fader Fort NYC. Check out photos from #uncapped below.
