Starchild & The New Romantic Release New Song & Visual “Hangin On”

Music and Other Drugs cannot get enough of Starchild & The New Romantic. Not because Starchild plays for one of our favorite artists, Solange. Starchild & The New Romantic continue to release music for our soul. Last year, we fell in love with the visual for “Mood.” Now, Starchild & The New Romantic are ready to take over 2018. Starchild just released the song and visual for the newest single “Hangin On.” The song is taken from the forthcoming album, Language. The visual for “Hangin On,” directed by Directors: Bryndon Cook, Chris Ungco, Stevie Rappa, takes us back to the Civil Rights era (1950’s & 60’s) with signs and symbols of ending racism, nonviolence, and just equality and peace for all. There is even a moment where Starchild is posted with others under a chalkboard with the letters SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee). The messaging is powerful, and relevant to this day. In addition to a powerful message, one thing that is already guaranteed from Starchild is dancing. There is a joy from Starchild that exudes from the screen. Check out the new single and video for “Hangin On.”
