New York-based producer/songwriter/DJ Sindrum has released his newest single “Pillowcase.” The song features one of MaOD’s favorite artists, Sheila Carlito. Sindrum’s musical creations began almost a decade ago. Originally inspired by rock, hardcore, and early forms of EDM, Sindrum’s music has evolved into his own lane of pop and dance tracks.
“Pillowcase” delves into our desire for loyalty and affection. Sindrum says “today’s culture shows that love can take many different shapes, and evolve in different directions.” Because of this love, “Pillowcase” grapples with the confusion and fear many of us have in regards to love, and “explores the struggle to discover and understand intimacy while fighting the fear of failure.” This conundrum is illuminated in the visuals for “Pillowcase.” The visual features a dancer and Sheila Carlito in two different rooms, interpreting their longing for someone to be on their pillowcase.
Sheila Carlito has one of the best voices we have heard in a long time, and melts perfectly on to Sindrum’s anthemic pop production. Watch the visual for “Pillowcase” and be sure to add the new single to your playlists today!
