Looking for a track to get you through a sticky situation of love lost? Well we have the perfect track for you right here. Music & Other Drugs would like to introduce you to Kenzie May. The singer was born on the East Coast but moved to London when she was 6. She has been doing music ever since and finally released her debut EP Skeleton Key last year. It was a stellar project and Music & Other Drugs are so happy to see that she is back and ready to take the world by storm with her new single, “Honey”. Kenize just recently told I-D magazine what the track was about. She stated:
“”Honey is a song about a relationship that has reached its climax and the realization that it’s in decline, it’s one of the more honest songs I’ve written in recent times. It tells a story that’s become familiar; falling in and out of love, trying to save something that may not be worth it anymore, only to make it worse. This is the stripped down version, recorded live at a friend’s warehouse in LA. We did it in one take and there’s a pretty gnarly video we filmed of the performance that’s coming in the new year.”
