Indie songstress, Mariami has struck gold with her newest single “Electrify My Heart.” The song came about as Mariami was staying in Monte Nido in the mountains.
“There is something about driving through canyons and guitar with hollow reverb that go hand in hand and the beauty of their home, both the architecture and the design put me in that headspace to write about love in the summer.”
“Electrify My Heart” was produced in Brooklyn, once Mariami returned to the East Coast. The Brooklyn-based singer captures summer love effortlessly. The production’s baseline and guitar rifts make grab you from the moment the song starts until the end.
Mariami has a timeless sound, blending Indo-European and soul alongside her colorful songwriting to create a sense of nostalgia. Her tracks “I Survived A War,” and “Million Hearts” prove Mariami isn’t just a one-hit maker, but understands music that stands time.
