Coming straight out of the emo synth pop world, Music & Other Drugs would like to introduce P’ARIS. The duo are ironically from Paris which makes the group even more special for the sound that they have seemed to have mastered. Their latest release “Focus” is synth pop greatness. Their topic seem to always hit love and loss and that has been the theme of their releases thus far. Shimmering synths and glistening drums pads make up “Focus” and make it an infectious song that you can’t deny. The two spoke about what “Focus” means to them and they said:
“Focus’ is a song about love and loss. There’s a very particular type of gentle empathy that both partners must offer each other when experiencing a loss within the family. People handle grief in different ways, so it’s important to be sensitive to the needs of your partner, while at the same time making sure you’re dealing with your own emotions. ‘Focus’ is about making sure the relationship doesn’t suffer while you’re each processing things in your own way.” – P’aris
