James Scott Gets Personal in Debut Project ‘BOYs HURT too’

New York native, James Scott has just released his debut project BOYs HURT too. The 11-track project is filled with an introspective look into James’ life. From relationships, lost love, losing a friend, and more. The project opens up with “Repent,” and from the gate the music captures us into James Scott’s world. Scott’s voice melts into your head and tugs at your heart-strings. His music is personal, and you get a sense where he is coming from in each track. Music and Other Drugs has been awaiting a full-length project from James Scott since our first time hearing his music in August 2015. We were first introduced to the sound of James Scott with his track “Wonder.” Since then, James Scott has consistently poured his heart into his music, creating sounds with thenobodies, and releasing his own singles. BOYs HURT too is just the beginning for James Scott. Our favorite tracks from the project are “gravity,” “andywarhol” featuring thenobodies, and the recently released single “With You,” which he also dropped a video for, today. BOY’s HURT too isn’t a quick listen, and a record you want to sit with, walk away from, and come back to.
