R&B artist, Allana Verde has just dropped her third EP, Past Midnight. The four-track project is “a sensual late-night narrative packaged in lush 90’s pop and dreamy electronic synths.” The project opens up with “12:01 A.M” featuring the legendary MC Mercston. The opening track brings the heat and captures what space and time feels like after midnight. The concept behind this project is genius, as many music junkie’s know the best time to listen to music is in the wee hours of the night/early mornings as the sun is rising Last week, Allana Verde released the last track from the project, “6 A.M.” featuring Mikill Pane. Upon first listen, we were hooked on this rising talent. Allana Verde has an intoxicating nature about her that draws you into her sound. Allana talks about the concept and creation of Past Midnight:
“For me, great music is relatable music, and this EP is just that: relatable and fun! I wanted each track to be a little different and set a particular mood for the evening. It was so much fun creating this project and I recorded the entire thing in four days with some amazing artists.”
The rising indie artists is on the right track; she recently performed at The Great Escape, which was met with rave reviews. After listening to the project, we already see dope visuals coming very soon. Check out Allana Verde’s new project Past Midnight below.
