Music and Other Drugs have been following singer ASH since her first project, The Perfect EP. Yesterday, on August 25th, ASH invited guest into a private living in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn for an intimate 10-song set, performing tracks from The Perfect EP, and her newest release, The Please Like Me EP. As Music and Other Drugs spoke to the guest, who came to watch the show, many became fans of ASH at different stages of her career. Some were day one fans of ASH since The Perfect EP, and some began following her after her appearance on Kelly Rowland and Frank Gatson’s show, Chasing Destiny. While ASH auditioned for a group on the show, she surely stands out on her own. ASH has a captivating presence, and her 80’s inspired tracks pull you into her world.
The Please Like Me Living Room Tour, from our perspective, was a genius idea. The intimate vibe connected the audience to ASH, and the energy filled the room. One of the highlights of the show was when ASH was performing “Anyway” from her first EP, and as soon as the chorus broke, everyone in the room was singing along. The look on ASH’s face was priceless, and shows the impact that her artistry, and music, has on her fans. ASH is shining bright, and we cannot wait to see her again.
